Meet Our Board: Michelle Steffin

Hello there! I’m Michelle Steffin, and I’m thrilled to hold one of the At-Large positions for the Society of the Ingalls Family, along with my fabulous twin sister, Jennifer. I also take on the Communications role. Let me share a little bit about our incredible journey! Our story began when we were just 2 ½ years old and stepped into the spotlight as Rose Wilder in the unforgettable series “Little House on the Prairie”! Back in August 1983, Jennifer and I were cast to take over the role of toddler Rose after the Coleman twins moved on. It was such an amazing opportunity to shine in the final two made-for-TV movies!

Fun fact: Jennifer and I were born just a minute apart and four days past our due date! We’re the proud oldest siblings of a trio, born to our amazing parents, David and Joanne Steffin. Our younger brother, Robert, rounds out our family, being over 5 years younger than us. Fast forward 42 years since playing Rose, and guess what? Our dad, David, while digging into our family tree, discovered that we are actually related to the Ingalls family! How incredible is that?

In my professional world, I’m currently rocking it as a Senior Customer Service Representative for an industrial battery company. Before that, I spent an amazing 14 ½ years at Crown Lift Truck, where I climbed the ranks from file clerk to Customer Care Representative. Seeking new challenges, I joined Raymond Handling Solutions in October 2020 and quickly progressed to Junior Estimator for the Amazon Systems Team, where I helped put together proposals for conveyor equipment installations across the entire country, as well as into Mexico and Canada. After a position change in late 2021, I found myself working in administration until my role was sadly eliminated in October 2024 due to restructuring. Not to worry, though! I landed a new opportunity with Concentric USA as a Senior Customer Service Representative and dispatcher in June.

On the personal front, I became a proud mom to Jaxon Beau Steffin in January 2019! Although his father and I are no longer together, we’ve become great co-parents. Jaxon absolutely loves sharing with everyone that his Auntie and mom were on the show! He’s incredibly bright for his age and enjoys playing board games with his cousins, Uncle, and Papa—often beating the adults!

I’m beyond excited to carry on the legacy of the Ingalls family and can't wait to see what new adventures await us!
