Meet Our Board: Jennifer Steffin

Hello, my name is Jennifer Steffin. I hold one of the At-Large positions, along with my twin, Michelle, for the Society of the Ingalls Family. A little backstory: when we were 2 ½ years old, we were lucky to be cast as Rose Wilder with my sister, Michelle, back in August 1983. We were in the last two movies of Little House on the Prairie, which were part of the post-production of the series. We took over the role from the Coleman twins, who played Baby Rose, and transitioned into the infant age range when the series was canceled.

We are only a minute apart, plus we were born 4 days past our due date. We are the oldest of three born to David and Joanne Steffin; I am the oldest by a minute. Our brother Robert is just over 5 years and 7 months younger than us, but is way taller too, over 6 feet tall! Who would have thought that almost 42 years later, after playing such an incredible role but small part, our dad David would do our family tree research as we are related to the Ingalls family!

Professionally, I am a Behavioral (Autism) therapy biller for about a year and a half but have been doing the same billing for 4 years. I started with my medical assistant certificate earned via Baldy View Regional Occupational Program back in 2001, and have never worked in this position. I have worked mainly in front office positions over the years and have been learning billing since 2005.

I am a mother to Deserae Catherin Cullens and Austyn Scott Truglio Cullens, both are my world who are our cheerleaders to keep the legacy going. I gave Austyn the middle name Truglio to keep our mom’s maiden name going as our brother Robert also has it as his middle name as well. Even though I had them in my early 20s, they have been my pride and joy!

I am looking forward to continuing the legacy of the Ingalls Family!
